Witte Rose Line

Witte Rose Line is probably the only European company that actually has a full-cycle factory in the EU, and does not brand the scissors purchased in China. The plant is located in Solingen, near Dortmund and Cologne. It has modern equipment, but in truth, the same as in China. Witte manufactures traditional German grooming scissors from good brushed steel. In addition to the fact that almost all scissors have a straight sharpening, micro-notch and a straight handle, the inner surface of the blade does not have a concave (concave), which facilitates the manufacturing process, excluding work on the inner surface of the blade, with a support surface. Rose Line scissors can be described as follows - tough, coarse grooming scissors, with a long handle that always cut well.

history of the company

The history of the company was not conveyed to us firsthand, but we really know a few things. The president of the company is Kurt Reiner-Witte, who is about 75 years old and the father of three daughters. For a long time he ran the company together with his wife Rosa, in her memory he added the word Rose Line to the name of the company. After Rose's death, Kurt is president, while his daughter Claudia also serves on the company's board and vice president.

The factory is located in Solingen for a reason, small Solingen with a population of 150,000 people, from ancient times was the center of metallurgy in Western Europe and the center for the production of knives. The village of Solingen first appears in written sources in 1067, under the name Solonchon. As it becomes clear from the multitude of literary and archaeological data, the metallurgical production in Solingen has existed for at least 2000 years. It is noteworthy that the first Anglo-Saxon kings of Britain were armed with Solingen swords. In the same city is the plant of the famous company for the production of hairdressing scissors - Jaguar.

Kurt Witte is an excellent scissor expert, in the past a great sharpener and he is the one who trains the staff in his factory. In addition to hairdressing scissors and grooming scissors, WItte Roseline produces stationery scissors and plant shears in a full cycle. The plant is well equipped, large water-cooled machines of the latest generation, stationary machines for primary sharpening, honing and micro-notching. The staff is quite experienced, people work for many years, defects in products are practically excluded. There are no defects due to the double quality control system. The scissors pass through the inspector after giving an arched shape to the canvases, who monitors the correct geometry of the lumen using a special device, then sharpen, polish, assemble, adjust the handle and return to the table for the quality inspector. If visually not an ideal strip from polishing is visible on the canvas or the micro-notch is not applied symmetrically, the scissors are rejected. In the final step, the grooming scissors are double-checked. Thinning scissors are tested on a bundle of natural human hair.
