Made from Japanese 440C steel, probably only because the top material VG10 bends quite badly.
The cutting ratio is about 80%, it is believed that MAGIC teeth polish better than they cut. Compared to conventional shank filers, they do the same task, but leave a different "pattern" when cutting.
