Barracuda ALPHA 6.5" thinning shears with 30 teeth
Elegant scissors for cutting dogs, reveal their potential on thick wool, although they can work with any. They have 30 fairly wide teeth and large gaps between the teeth, which allows you to comfortably cut dense fur. Due to the wide gaps, the scissors are "all-pervasive", they can get into places where ordinary, more frequent, filleting scissors cannot penetrate. They have proven themselves very well on thin wool, but leave "ladders" due to the contrast between the thickness of the tooth and the width of the gap.
The classic, V-shaped tooth is an ideal solution for thinning shears, as the U-shaped tooth has a lower cutting coefficient, and the W-shaped (aggressive) tooth is very difficult to sharpen.
The VG10 material is cobalt steel from Japan, the best available on the market in any price range.
The scissors are moderately heavy, with a massive little finger amplifier, offset handle, and semi-convex sharpening. They feel very secure in your hand and do not require frequent sharpening.
